The Youth Ambassador
Program
Focused on creating positive change within EVUSA, the Youth Ambassador Team’s purpose is to represent the organization and promote excellence in the sport of vaulting from a youth perspective.
Youth Leadership
Youth members between the ages of 16 and 21 years are selected annually to guide EVUSA into its next generation.
New Perspectives
Members are encouraged to share new ideas through board presentations to help develop and expand EVUSA.
Service
Members volunteer to provide support and assistance at clubs and events as well as plan activities for EVUSA youth.
About the Ambassadors
The Youth Ambassadors is a new program developed to put younger leaders at the forefront of the decision-making process within EVUSA organization and aims to empower young vaulters as the organization moves into its next phase.
Working towards an overall goal of creating positive change within EVUSA, the Youth Ambassadors Team will convene throughout the year to gain leadership skills and plan outreach events. Ambassadors will represent at events such as the EVUSA Educational Symposium, National Championships and other regional events. All team members selected were required to complete an application that was reviewed by a selection committee. We are excited to involve more and more youth in decision making, representation, and service in Equestrian Vaulting USA.
Our main objective:
Give youth the opportunity to have a voice in EVUSA. Help improve rules, regulations and events from a vaulters point-of-view. Serve and direct the other youth in EVUSA and inspire them to become leaders and make a positive difference.
So What is an Ambassador’s Purpose?
Once an ambassador is elected their role will include but is not limited to:
- Representing EVUSA at all times by being a positive role model to their peers and setting an example of leadership.
- Brainstorming new ideas for EVUSA as a whole to constantly improve the association in every aspect.
- Create and deliver proposals for the EVUSA Board to review and discuss.
- Brainstorm and plan events for the youth of EVUSA.
- Serve EVUSA by volunteering at various events.
- Represent the Ambassador team at your local region’s events, including board meetings.
What does it take to be an Ambassador?
One of our main goals is for the youth vaulters to make a difference for others. Being a current vaulter is preferred, but not required.
- Age Range 16-21 years old.
- Are a registered member of Equestrian Vaulting USA for the current year.
- Currently are, or have a desire to be active in EVUSA by attending. recognized events and actively participating in your own club.
- Have a passion for EVUSA and a desire to make a difference.
