The USEF/AVA National Vaulting Championships is a celebration of the best of the sport of equestrian vaulting. Known as gymnastics on horseback or dancing with horses, it is a unique sport that is judged on how well an equestrian and a human athlete work together. We are delighted to share our love for this sport with you.
This year, Nationals will be held on August 19-21, 2022 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center (25 International Blvd, Mill Spring, NC 28756. Approximately 250 vaulters, 75 horses, their coaches and lungers will gather to vie for dozens of blue ribbons and national championships.
Throughout the four days, there will be classes which feature beginners as young as four years old all the way up to World Champions. There will be team events which allow up to three vaulters on the horse at once, pairs events for two and many individual divisions. The new Junior Classes will be included. Please join us for an amazing experience!
If you are COMING TO WATCH, there will be competition in the main arena daily (schedule to be posted when it becomes available). There is no charge for the public to watch. This is a very FAMILY FRIENDLY event.
If you are a FIRST TIME COMPETITOR AT NATIONALS, relax! You are entering a new and exciting level of your vaulting adventure. Every vaulter, parent, coach, lunger at Nationals remembers how they felt the first time! We are all here to help you make the most of your competition experience.
First, review the material in this website. Then talk with your coach about what each of you expect. If you have questions, contact a nearby club or vaulter with Nationals experience.
The Prize List is filled with helpful information. You will find it at http://vaulting.swcp.com. Select Nationals and then Prize List. No password required. Do not mistake the CompWeb system as a replacement for the Prize List, it is simply a tool. You should read the entire Prize List.
Once you arrive at the facility, there will be lots of posted signs about stabling, where to go for check-in and more. At check-in, you may have more questions answered.
